Michael Jackson NOT GUILTY, that seems to be a common verdict in the California hi profile celebrity cases.
What is it with this DA office? It seems to me that before bringing theses cases to trial and wasting the taxpayers' money, the DA would make sure there was a case that they could win beyond a reasonable doubt.
Or, maybe the lawyers involved see it as a way to get in the spotlight, for their 15+ minutes of fame.

I don't know that it's a failure on the DAs parts. At least, not always. Defense lawyers often play on the emotions of juries, and when it's a hi-profile celeb it's many times MUCH easier to do so. The DA's office most likely honestly thought they had a solid enough case to get a conviction, but the defense used enough smoke & pulled enough heartstrings to cause the doubt.
